Our Projects
Supporting Continuing Education for Midwives in Ghana

Helping Babies Breathe
Launched in 2019, the ongoing Helping Babies Breathe (HBB) initiative teaches essential neonatal resuscitation and newborn care skills to support babies that do not breathe on their own after birth. HBB techniques have been shown to reduce early neonatal mortality by up to 47%.

Essential Newborn Care and OB Emergency Drills
Launched in February 2024, this initiative supports participants in learning and maintaining skills through realistic simulation drills. Ongoing practice sessions at our facility strengthen collaboration and communication, which are critical during emergencies.

Collaboration with GynZone
Thanks to a generous grant from GynZone, 160 Ghanaian midwives will gain access to this award-winning online learning platform to continue their professional growth.
GynZone provides evidence-based curriculum and hands-on practice focused on perineal care during childbirth. To support professional development, our Ghana team will receive funding upon successfully completing their certification.
